My wife loves these bowls. They keep everything cold / warm for a good period of time. Perfect for parties or everyday dinners.
Living in South Florida temperature control of food is critical. We found this double wall bowl to be very helpful in this endeavor. Filling the cavity with water (easy under the tap, about 3/4 full) and freezing it certainly adds much more time to the safe storage temperature, although you need to deal with the condensation. Using the bowl without the added cold or hot water also extends safe storage time without the hassle of condensation for the cold water.The bowl looks great and is modern in style complementing our decor. Carefully adding stainless steel polish ( like you would use on a refrigerator) to the exterior surface only maintains the nice finish and virtually eliminates fingerprints.Seeing other comments about the plugs, I really do not think of it as an issue if you take any care whatsoever, and they do provide spares. However, I would prefer the plugs to be made with a grey material so they do not stand out so much.Overall we are very pleased with the look and function and recommend to others.
This is a nice quality cooling bowl in stainless steel that looks and feels substantial. It has a nice rubberized bottom so that it stays put and doesn't slide around the table. There are holes on the top edge of the bowl that you fill with cool water and then plug with the enclosed rubber plugs to retain the water inside the walls of the bowl. There is a small pack of rubber plugs included -- I do wish that these were attached to the bowl so there was less chance of them getting lost but I think that is why they give your extra in the package. You can freeze the bowl (with water in the walls) and use when ready to keep food items cool/cold. This is a perfect serving bowl for salads at a summer cook out during warm weather where you want to keep food cool for a longer period of time.
